New data sets at the RDC:
In the upcoming weeks we will be receiving new data sets and surveys at the McMaster Research Data Centre. Please see the information below. Researchers interested in accessing these data sets are encouraged to submit proposals!

Access and Support to Education and Training Survey (ASETS) 2008
The Access and Support to Education and Training Survey (ASETS) explores issues relating to access to post-secondary education (PSE). This includes the role of student loans, financial savings and preparedness, employer educational support, and participation in adult education and training. ASETS brings together 3 previous surveys exploring PSE antecedents and determinants: the Survey of Approaches to Educational Planning (SAEP), the Post-secondary Education Participation Survey (PEPS) and the Adult Education and Training Survey (AETS). This increases the content and sample sizes, and allows for exploration of lifelong learning across all 3 themes.

This survey uses a cross-sectional design. The target population was Canadians under age 65 living in the 10 provinces. This survey may interest those researchers interested in adult education, training, and education finance. The McMaster RDC is now accepting proposals for research involving this data set.
