New data sets at the RDC:

Canadian Coroner and Medical Examiner Database (CCMED)

The CCMED is a database developed at Statistics Canada in collaboration with the provincial and territorial Chief Coroners and Chief Medical Examiners and the Public Health Agency of Canada. Currently, the CCMED combines information from 12 provincial and territorial databases to provide national level information on deaths reported to and investigated by coroners and medical examiners. The CCMED, by storing information on deaths reported to Coroners and Medical Examiners, will facilitate the identification and characterization of emerging and known safety hazards with the aim of contributing to a decrease in preventable deaths among Canadians.
